another trans question

im new to this site, been lurking for over a year now and just now registered, anyways, my trans went on my truck, i took it out , torque converter is defintley gone, there was metal laying on top of the filter, trans only has 7 miles on it, so it is getting replaced under warranty, however the customer service and quality work this company has is terrible, im very tight on money and really dont even have any, however im hoping the next trans at least gets me a couple months so i can get a good one, now this what ive been wondering, ive always heard good things about ATS, i called them and they told me with what i know of is done to the truck, the level 4 trans would be my best bet, i did a search and didnt come up with alot about ats, the monster box seems very popular, as does suncoast, when i go to do this i will need a fairly quick turnaround time on it, currently the truck has been down for over a month waiting on this trans, i would like to get some of your opionins on who builds a good one, and stands behind there product, also what kind of warrantys are out there, thank you very much

Re: another trans question

I have a Suncoast in my truck, and I am happy with it. No problems as of yet, and it has been in the truck just about a year. If I remember correctly, they got the trans to me in maybe three or four days.

Re: another trans question

The Monsterbox is a great tranny. You can have one waiting at your door in about a week after ordering.

It comes with a 2 year unlimited warranty. HP, Torque or miles driven doesn't matter. If it breaks..they will cover parts and labor to replace.

Re: another trans question

Matt first I would like to welcome you to the site. It's a great place to learn about your truck.

I have two monster Boxes and like them very much. I had a warranty issue with one of them and had no problem getting it taken care of.

If you are going to buy another trans BTS,suncoast or monster box would be the way to go. I like the price and service from Bob Riley when I purchased my trannies. Hope this helps.

I've seen enough piss poor customer service issues on the "net" about ATS that I would not recommend them. Here is the list of worked over tranny builders that have a reputation for service and durable transmissions for our trucks:

(alphabetical order)

1) BTS tranny.... www.brianstruckshop.com

2)Factory Tech Monster Box.... http://www.dieselsite.com/index.asp?...amp;ProdID=261

3) John Wood Automotive... www.JWTT.com

4) Suncoast.... www.suncoastconverters.com
