Anybody Running an EDGE EVO II? Need Advice!

So I got off the phone with edge a little while ago, and they weren't much help.

Here's what I'm dealing with..

The truck runs great on stage 2. But the EGT's get hot really fast when I'm full throttle. I've seen them peak at 1400* @ about 20psi.

I've heard that high EGT's could be from a boost leak, but like I said I'm seeing 20psi.

The guy from edge told me he never sees 7.3's get that hot on that tune. And to check my air filter and that it might be dirty. (Its a brand new 6637)

Also as you can see in my SIG I have a BTM. (So the exhaust is opened up)

The only thing I can think of is that the EBPV isn't open all the way. Allthough it does seem to operate ok in the morning while the truck is warming up. (From the North East)

I'm thinking about calling PHP and turning it into a gryphon, but I just want to make sure the truck is ok first.

I have an Evo2, yes at full throttle it will make some heat, by the time i get to 1250-1300* on program 2 I'm hauling a$$. Much faster than I should be driving in south Florida traffic with a truck this size.

Remember, with a programer you are putting in more fuel (heat) advancing the timing (more heat). More is going on, but that is the simple answer.

Unless you're willing to dump some money (intercooler, turbo back exhaust, some stuff I don't even know about) you will be fighting heat.....

I wouldn't think twice about changing it over to a Gryphon and getting some custom tunes. I've been trying for a while, but every time I have the money something else comes up.
