Ordered the DP Tuner from Jody, had a certified shop install the chip and do axwalk around, ran the truck ran fine, shut it off and restarelted it to find the check engine light on, now truck just cranks and won't start mechanic thinks that the PCM is fried Anyone have any ideas on what happened or ever heard of this happening before?

And should I be stuck paying for a new PCM? Or should that be the shops resposibility?

Why did u have ashop install this chip? Did u make sure they followed every step while installing it? if they left the key in the ignition, it could have caused it. And yes, they installed it, they should be held responsible for the PCM. Jody has very DETAILED instructions when installing his chips

I had a shop install it because I haven't had the time to install it myself and figured It would be easier for them to install it because I'm working until thanksgiving , which is when I needed the truck by, I agree that the shop should pay for the PCM, and I gave them the detailed instructions and told them to follow them to a t, wether or not they did is a differet story, i've talked to Jody and he said that the only way to fry the PCM is if they had the key in the ignition while installing it.... Just my luck

It is a pretty simple install. I wonder if the cam position sensor went out. That would be pretty remote, being you just had the tuner installed. But it is a possibility. But like the other guys said, if the chip came disconnected, or connected in any way while the ignition was in the on position, the pcm and chip itself are probably cooked. Either way, I hope the shop will step up and cover it for you. Best of luck.
