Best glow plugs

Who makes the best glow plugs? I have the injectors out being rebuilt right now so I'm replacing the glow plugs while I'm at it.

There is only one type of glow plug for your truck. Motorcraft/Beau ZD-11
Pretty much all the rest have caused problems one way or another.

Only install Ford glow plugs. I did some research and talked to diesel mechanics and they all say the same thing, FORD glow plugs.

They say the aftermarket ones especialy the Autolights are known to swell up making them impossible to remove when they fail. If they swell up and have to be removed it requires detaching the head.

A few weeks had glow plugs installed on the F250 and prior to that started digging through my reciepts to see what type of glow plugs I put in a few years ago. I almost had a heart attack when I stumbled upon a receipt that read 8 glow plugs autolight. On the bottom of the receipt it said "estimate" and "not an actual receipt". The next receipt was for Ford glow plugs. At that point decided to dig into it deeper and see what I put in the Excursion and luckily they were also Ford glow plugs.

The funny thing was the autolights were only a dollar or two less than the Fords.

Go install some Autolights. The techs need money in this economy. I heard it can swell up and you might need to remove the head. That will stimulate the economy.

napa's are the cheapest. and if you dont have a napa by you go to autozone and theyll price match their motorcraft ones. i think they turned out to be 6 or 7 bucks a piece. better than autozones 15 each

Neither NAPA or AutoZone carry the Motorcraft/Beau ZD-11's for our trucks. AutoZone quit a couple of years ago.

I saw some from sd diesel on ebay they are duel coil or somethin like that never used them so can't say how they work they looked to be decent, but I would go with what people have used so you don't run into problems. I thought about using these plugs though says they use them in military applications but can't believe everything you read on the internet either.
