Boost numbers

I read some of the other post and hear guys talking about 40psi all the time and my truck only makes around 28-29psi. I check the parts list from these people and it looks about the same as mine so I have been wondering if I have a problem. Should my numbers be higher then what they are?

NO.

Your stock turbo is out of its efficiency range at anything above 25psi and you're hurting it to run it higher. Now that may change a little with the ATS housing you have -I don't know- but I don't think it changes much.
40psi is most certainly with an aftermarket turbo, and usually some injectors to light it.

Re: Boost numbers

BIG injectors to light the big turbo? who has a similar setup that's running 40 psi?

The ATS housing you have moves the surge line further left and the choke line further right. You can go above 25 psi safely without generating excessive heat. Should be fine up to 30-32 psi, but I wouldn't go higher than that.
