Borla Exhaust opinions...

I am in the market to get an exhaust system for my truck. I am leaning towards a dual exhaust system, but just found an ad for the Borla exhaust system that has the dual side exit in front of the rear passenger tire. According to Borla, removing the need to go over the rear end greatly enhances the performance of this exhaust.

Has anyone heard this system? I am looking for a loud exhaust, without being obnoxious. ( My last car was a 99 cobra with a offroad h-pipe flowmaster. Talk about loud...)

Comments? Suggestions?

Re: Borla Exhaust opinions...

Here is the site where I found the information on the Borla exhaust. It looks like a good package and I know that Borla has a quality exhaust for cars... One question however... will the exhaust tip being in front of the rear tire just coat the back half of the truck in black soot?

Re: Borla Exhaust opinions...

That's the same as the PDQ setup. I called them on it. The tip is aluminized and chrome. The chrome will discolor (yellow).

Re: Borla Exhaust opinions...

gixxer750,

You might want to reconsider having an exit after the rear wheel, it will be LOUDER than most folks want. It does get you an extra 1/2 of 1% performance improvement, basically next to nothing but it will be loud. It will also soot your tire an wheel up pretty badly over time too!
