I can tell you that there is no better tranny than BTS. I had one put in 3.5 years ago and pull a 40 ft 5th wheel that weighs 18 to 20k loaded. The tranny failed and I called Brian and he worked with me to get it back and he repaired it no problem. He has the best customer service bar none. He did not care how it failed just wanted to get me back on the road again as quickly as possible. I paid for the shipping and that was it. In the diagnosis stage he talked with me on 6 or 7 occasions for 20 to 30 minutes each to help find out whether he could fix it locally without having to ship it all the way to Lead Hill. His staff are equally as friendly and always professional. You can not go wrong with a BTS Tranny. When you buy one from Brian you are buying into the family.

Good Luck,

Jim

You could have saved on the shipping had you gotten it from JW. He's only 170 miles away from you. Instead of 1700 miles. JW would have done the same for you. Either way I'm sure you would have been happy just more convinient at JW. That's why I went there.

Even at 3.5 yrs or 50K? Not sure if he would. He did allude to the idea that he might. BTS just said ship it here and we fix it. Within 2 yrs, he pays.

The bottom line. The BTS handshake warranty second to none, Brian's workmanship, and ethics, priceless! JW's warranty of 50K, seems a little weak, Ford's 36K was a joke. The new trucks, Ford warrants them for 5 years 60K. Go figuire. Warranties are one thing, and are only as good as the backer. BTS, gets the "gold medal" for customer service.

Well, for his customer base that will mod the vehicle and trash it more than the standard user, I would say it is probably pretty decent. BTS has the same clientele and their lifetime is definitely better.

You get what you paid for. AFAIK, they are $2500?

But assuming that all the backers are good on their word for the sake of comparison, IMO, when you dare to stick your neck out further, it means you have more confidence in your product than the other guy.

Same for me. I drove 850 miles to get a BTS. his work speaks very loud
with powerstroke trucks as to what his tranny will do. His warranty is second to none and even if JW was closer to me I still would have drove to Brians shop just because of his GREAT customer service. I know that this
Will be THE LAST TRANNY I will ever put in my truck.

It will be the last one you pay for. I am certain I will break mine sooner or later just because of the way I drive.

No truer words have ever been typed on this forum.

I'm glad there are other options out there for all you guys. There is more than enough work to go around.
But for me, I will stick with Brian. And remember - he knows about and does so much more than trannys. That's just where he is second to none.

If it is as I see and you pay $2500, it might be ok. Of course, if you want to pay for 1 trans and not have to pay for any more breakage and you plan to run the truck into the ground BTS is the only choice that offers you a warranty that is for as long as they are in business. Since they ship, what is the issue where you are?

If you are in the SE it is only a day trip to BTS! Worth the cost of fuel just for the education. You should see the pile of suncoast parts sitting in the junk heap at Brian's. He will show you the shortcuts they take to deal with the tranny problems. Not the BTS way!

Maybe Brian can take the Suncoast transmissions and make up a good working one and sell that on an "as is" basis. Like I said, if you can't afford the time and fuel, get it shipped. Either way, it does do the "Git R Done" thing.
