Re: Cam Sensor

take out the black one that is in there now. write down the part number. put the old one back in and drive to international and get the black one with the same part number. you do not want a blue one.

Am I missing something? I just Googled the number I provided (as per my invoice from International) and it comes up as a CPS from International. Your number is completely different...

[/ QUOTE ]The reason the number is different is that the number I provided and we have been using is actually listed for a DT466 engine not our 7.3L applications. However this part works really well in most trucks, mine included.

I discovered this CPS when trying to chase down a very slight miss under light load conditions ie: crusing on the highway empty. Had the truck to Ford several times and could not find a cause, so I lifted the valves covers and installed the plastic clips on the injector plug, no change. Next I tried changing the CPS with another Ford CPS, still no change. Finally installed the blue CPS for the DT466 and problem solved. My mileage came up about 1.5mpg, the truck runs quieter, smoother and pulls better towing. I like what the blue CPS does for my turck. It is not a part listed by International for our engines, but it works great for me.
