You could do it yourself no problem in a day. I yanked my turbo the first time and put it back on in about 3 hours. Its not that big of a deal. There are lots of free how to do on the internet with lots of pics.
here is how to pull the turbo. You will need to replace the pedestal with a non ebpv pedestal and replace the flange on that holds the ebpv butterfy valve on the turbo with a one that does not have the valve in it.
I did it so it would never leak again and I have better airflow.
