I have a very early model Banks chip on my 1999 7.3 and I have no way to make changes to it and nobody knows anything about it except to sell me a new system. Yea.... I dont think so.
Rather then that, does anybody know where I can get the "stock" brain to plug back in?
There is no 'stocker' chip. You remove that chip and the PCM is what it is and will return to running the truck as if nothing was ever done to it. Pull it off, throw it away, and don't look back. It really is that easy.
Yup, the J3 port is not used for the factory calibration and anything added to the J3 will override any flashed tune as well as the stock tune.
