DP Tuner vs. ATS Tuner

I think I already know the answer, but, I have a friend who is a diesel mechanic and he swears by the ATS Tuner. He says that it is the safest and best performing tuner available on the market. I have read a lot about DP Tuner and it sounds like you guys love them. What should I get? I plan on using driving this truck for many more years including thousands of miles. I currently have the MBRP stainless exhaust with the aFe II intake. Let me hear your thoughts. Oh yeah, I need a set of gauges!!! Talk to you soon.

Re: DP Tuner vs. ATS Tuner

I have ran many different brands/type of chips over the years and I will never own anything other than DP! DP is hands down the best tuner on the market! Plus, how often can you call them and talk to the owner/programmer on the phone!

Re: DP Tuner vs. ATS Tuner

How about longevity of the engine after installing tuner? I guess my question is, is it the safest tuner available?

Re: DP Tuner vs. ATS Tuner

You'll be fine with the DP Tuner. Even to keep it safe. If I keep it on 80e, I never get over 1200*, and that is pulling a 15,000lb wagon of beans up a hill at 45mph. Tranny temps were gettin a little warm though, but then again, that is severe towing. If you are just driving around and occassionally smoke out a ricer you'll be just fine.
