electric fan

i seen a fan and shroud kit for 633.00 and iam thinkink of buying it and was wondering if there is anyone with one

i have22 ft bumper pull r v and a 67 firebird (thats for sale ksl.com/cars) that i tow to car shows
1am going to buy a 5th wheel once the bird sales and would like to free up some ponys and fan clutch noise better diesel milage yada yada yada

It will free up some power, slightly improve fuel economy, and probably overheat your engine and transmission. It's your call. I wouldn't do it.

dtsthx, i have been running a flex-a-lite fan for years with no issue with towing. A lot of the guys dog it but hardly any have tried it. I tow about 18,000 lbs with trailer and its all good BUT that being said, The electric fans have issues keeping up to the AC. i ended up uninstalling the AC and everything has been amazing. lots of power and without the AC rad in the way to IC performs really well. Ur choice. i love it but AC is the trade off....

Read the posts in this thread by AutoJim. BTW, it may not be in this thread but he would never run a Flex-a-lite fan in any vehicle.
