Re: Flowmaster muffler

they sound good, I think the turbo guys will tell you a muffler with chambers like a flowmaster is not the best for making boost. I have a friend with a magna-flow muffler on his six liter and it sounds very good.

Re: Flowmaster muffler

You should not run an ordinary FlowMaster muffler on a diesel.

But FlowMaster now makes a special diesel performance muffler that might be okay. They come in 3.5" inlet/outlet for stock exhaust systems, or in 4" inlet/outlet for custom exhaust systems.

3.5" = http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/pr...oducts_id=3252

4" = http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/pr...oducts_id=3263

Top Job front end replacement. I special-ordered it new and plan to drive it until it quits.

Yes - the 4" delta force race muffler is what I have...Flowmaster is 5 miles away from my shop and we have been doing R&D with them for years...my boss got their first PSD exhaust system prototyped on his excursion.

Re: Flowmaster muffler

I have always heard the Flow Master mufflers suck for a turbo diesel. The dodge boys on TDR have nothing but bad things to say about them. I have no self experience with them on a diesel myself.

I do know for a gasser you cant find a better muffler at any price.
