But the "agressive wheel" is what makes it even louder. Here:Agressive Banks Turbo Wheel

I deleted my foil at the same time I did the ATS housing and took off the wicked wheel and returned the stock wheel. I don't know what did what for sound. But it's not all that much louder. I can hear it, but with road, tire, and radios going I can't hear much.

Mine is loud, it whistles , it screams even with radio etc.. and I don't even have my ported shroud installed yet.
The aggressive turbo wheel is what did it first, and now w/o the foil and the S&B intake, it really made it loud.

I did mine, and mine is very loud as well. I also have a 6637 filter, tuner, and exhaust on my truck and my turbo/intake scream...between the whistle, and all the whooshing noises it's perty cool actually. Toss my trailer behind it, and on the highway I can hear all the underhood noises OVER the stereo.

Some say to rebalance it, most don't do it.....I didn't and so far no problems.
If you get the S&B intake don't use the clear acrylic cover on top, it rattles and it doesn't breath as good as leaving it open, big diff in noise w/ it on and off.

you notice any difference from that CFM intake? What about from the 4" turbo back? I want to do full 4" exhaust, with a muffler, but I'm afraid the muffler will kick my egt's up...I already fight with keeping them below 1250 loaded...

Seems to me with the reading that the foil is there only to keep the noise down correct? Or does it have another function like to keep heat away from other componets near it?

Does the wicked wheel mod help with getting more boost or just a mod to prevent turbo surge?

With doing the WW mod to the turbo and changing the boots out would changing the wastegate be something logical to do since we will be right there? or should i just leave the stock one in?

Only if you are sure that yours is bad, I think the only problem with the stock WG is that it starts bleeding boost too early, some say as early as 5 lbs.

I have noticed a big difference in boost ever since eliminating the red line that goes to it, but I also have other intake mods like the CFM+,AIH delete,CCV relocated and S&B CAI.
