He is the real deal. Good diesel mechanic. I heard many mods from him long before they became subject of discussion on these forums. I have no direct knowledge of his programming skills but if he wrote the programs for his Big Red DRW truck then they cannot be too bad.

I've only seen him around locally and I know he works at the Romeo dealership...He's built some pretty sick trucks that run around town...Think I'm gonna run up to his shop and check it out then...Thanks!

Somewhere there is a video of him doing donuts in the parking lot breaking loose all 4 wheels with rubber flying everywhere. Tires were given to him by Nitto I believe. Said they had a hell of a time getting them on the OEM rims.

I saw his truck in diesel power, and anyone that can
make thier own twin turbos, can mod my truck..
That was one bad dually...seems like it took no prisoners in the pulling contest. </div></div>
Almost anyone with some skills can put together a "compound turbo" kit such as the one found on Hallas' truck. "Twins" are matched single turbo's running off of each manifold. It's getting the primary to match up with the secondary that's a little bit trickier as you don't want too small or too large. And you might want to find out just how much hp he was putting out with his twins. I don't know personally, but from other sites I've seen his #s posted he was only in the 500 range on #2 and there are several people doing that with a single charger and over 600 on #2 even. Now don't get me wrong...I'm not talking down about Hallas. Now if someone can prove that he's making more than that on #2 please shed some light on it. I'd like to know that he's making more than that.

danny
you need to remember that elmo only made 601whp on that dyno, and considering his trap speeds indicate about 775+ whp, i think it's safe to say that dyno was off. if i recall correctly it was also off for many other competitors.
RCT did those turbos - and they know what they are doing. i do believe this has been discussed and the consensus was that he is making more a good bit more than what the DPC dyno showed.
that said i would not hesitate to send my truck to hallas.
That's good to know. Now what did he run in the 1/4 at the DPC? That would be a better guestimate at what kind of power he is making if the dyno #s was that off.

apparently he didn't get it straight til the sled pulls - which he won. so 5xx whp @ 42psi doesn't seem so terrible.
that was mad dog's dyno, but i still recall reading something about the altitude or whatever becoming an issure.
I too saw his truck in a recent Diesel Power mag. I noticed he resides in Leonard,MI.I have family in Leonard and my uncle recognized the description of Halles' dually. My impression is that he knows Powerstrokes well!
