I agree, be patient Sun, there is a new Dual Pump system coming very soon(it's in testing right now ). M1,

What is the latest on the psycho pump? Last I had heard it was being redesigned.

Re: HPOP

If its the volume thats important than why does everyone say to use a 0-5000psi gauge to check it. I checked mine at 2300 WOT. Was wondering what a new pump should be.

Re: HPOP

due to lack of oil volume your pressure drops. if the pressure stays constant then you have enough volume haven't put a gauge to mine btu i all ready know that my pressure is droping off. so i save some money and wait for all the new systems to come out.

Re: HPOP

How much power will we gain by adding a good aftermarket HPOP, with stock injectors?

Re: HPOP

I think it depends on how badly your stock HPOP is working. I look at the aftermarket HPOP like my H2 turbo, it will maximize the power I can make with a given combo of parts. My H2 makes sure I have plenty of air for the power I want to make. Correct me if I am totally off base, but the new HPOP will make bigger injectors work better and allow different programming to keep timing in check and lower cylinder pressures.

It's not neccesarily a "power adder" What the new HPOP's do is allow you to use all the power you have through the entire range of throttle. If you are loosing pressure at WOT, then you are not able to use all the power that's available. The other thing it does is open up the endless possibilities of injectors to run. You no longer would need to run hybrids to flow more fuel

Re: HPOP

So when people say they think that someone can get close to 400 hp with stock injectors, aftermarket turbo, aftermarket hpop, and a custom burned chip, the hpop doesn't matter so much? Sorry if this question is stupid just trying to learn.

Re: HPOP

No!! ........It matters alot!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With stock injectors and programming tweaked enough to even get close to 350, the stock HPOP can't keep up!!

Re: HPOP

Thanks a lot for the information. Looking to get up there and don't want to upgrade my injectors yet so I figured I'd look into this. Sounds promising once I can get some more information about when the aftermarket HPOPs will be done testing and available to the public.

Re: HPOP

If anyone is interested my early 99 ran on the Dyno with a HPOP gauge hooked on it. Thanks CHET! It maintained 1800lbs is all at WOT. There was a friend of his there that had a 01 I think,he said his maintained about 2400lbs I think. Quite a difference..isnt it?

That sounds interesting. Any more hints or can you send me a PM if needed?
