Intercooler/Nitrous questions

I was reading through the install instructions and Zex recomends to install the fitting 1-2ft away from the motors intake manifold and to position the hole towards the motor. Does anyone know which intercooler tube I should drill? Also, they recommend to mount the bottle length wise with the truck but there's not enough room except in the bed to install this way. I'm a little paranoid that it will get stolen. So I'm left with two options in the cab sidways or in the toolbox sideways. I want to mount it sideways in the cab on the transmission hump will this give me any trouble with its location?

I have mine mounted on the passanger side frame rail. As far as the hole goes if you have a single stage, drill the ic pipe after the cooler.(passanger side pipe) Point the jet hole in the same direction as the air flow.(toward the turbo)
