mass air flow sensor delete?

is it possable to delete the mass air flow sensor i installed a cold air today and had to tap into the tube for the sensor but i want to completly do away with it if at all possable?

If you are taliking about the sensor that was in the factory air box, It's an air temp sensor. Let it lay on the fender well or tie it up to the wire bundle.

well i tryed to just let it lay and my truck would not start do you have any idea why?

Thats odd. Shouldn't have anything to do with the engine not starting????

Mine is lying on the inner fender. Has been for about 50k. No issues what-so-ever. You sure that's the issue? Or are you talking about a different sensor? We don't have MAP(MAF) sensors on these trucks.

ok yes i just found out today we dont have them i feel stupid now and i tryed takeing it out and it still wont start without it being in so idk what the issue is
