Need a shift kit

How makes the best shift kit for my 03 7.3. Any part #'s.
It is a daily driver. I drive in town and tow a open trailer with my race car about once a month. I just one that firms up the shifts nicely not snapping my neck every shift. Any info would be great

Re: Need a shift kit

I got a nice cheap one at blackclouddiesel.com I have had it for maybe the last 20,000 miles and it's been awsome! Not too firm, but just enough to know it's there.

Re: Need a shift kit

You might also consider a Factory Tech Valve Body. Available from Bob Riley.

Re: Need a shift kit

I second the FTVB from Bob Riley, made by Greg Evans. I put mine in on Sat. and I have a new truck. It finally shifts like I wanted it to. Greg knows what he is doing with tuning these valve bodies. I looked at spring and valve kits like the Sonnax, but after reading greg's letter on the dieselsite website I was convinced Greg went a step further in the process. I will be towing my RV Thurs for the first time since the FTVB is in and I can't wait. Call Bob you won't be sorry.

Re: Need a shift kit

Your best bang for the buck is the Sonnax/Tricumulator kit.
