Hows it gong? I'm looking at putting in some gauges for my '01 F-250, and was wondering what would be the best kind and how many I would need. Any suggestions would help.
Thanks

I like the set that I got. Match the factory gauge lighting perfect at night. Now I just need to go with a white gauge face on my main gauges. Expensive though but they provide everything including optional pillar paint to match it up to your OE dash colour, even some candies to chew while you install it all. Check my signature. Close to $400cdn if I remember correctly. Get the 30lb boost gauge unless you plan on getting an aftermarket BIG turbo. ISSPRO Gauge Kits for Ford Powerstroke from DieselManor Here's a daylight pic of my gauges: (tranny temp going wonky in that pic)
You'll need at least 3. Transmission temp, EGT temp, and boost to keep things in check.
I know diesel manor sells an isspro set that will match the stock gauges with everything for under 400 I think. you can even get the interior matching paint.
Also, ITP sells a windshield mount that goes above the rear view mirror (I like that mount better personally, I find the pillar mount makes a larger blind spot)

NO, I get all my USA ordered stuff to ship to Tsb Shipping Plus in Point Roberts, WA and then drive over the border to pick it up.
If you don't have a shipping depot just across the border from where you are call up Diesel Manor and see if they can ship it US Postal Service. That way you only pay a $10 handling fee from Canada Post plus applicable taxes once it arrives.
I, personally, don't care for pillar mounted gauges. I prefer the Auto Meter overhead gauge pod with Auto Meter Ultra-Lite gauges (Trans temp, Boost, and Pyrometer). I use that handle getting into my truck with 6.5" lift and 37" BFG KM2's. And, I'm 6'2" tall....that handle is nice and saves your steering column. The overhead gauges sit above the rear view mirror, making it easy to watch the gauges every time you look at the rear view mirror. Kinda nice. They are a bit more involved to install, but the gauges will have enough wiring & tubing to reach. You'll just need basic 12V wiring & connectors for the lights. Do yourself a favor and get an electrical Trans Temp Gauge. The mechanical gauge is prone to breakage if you go Off-Road or travel on rough roads. Good Luck!!!
Look up the pod (Auto Meter 18017) & gauges you like at summitracing.com They have a good selection & good prices.
