TC with the rebuild?

im doing my tranny rebuild next weekend. will the stock tourque converter hold up with a suncoast rebuild? the TC only has 57k on it?

definitely add a TC to the rebuild.

You don't want the stocker coming apart and wrecking the goodies you are putting in there.

i dont have the money for a new one yet. im doing the rebuild up in maine, then i have to drive it back down to NC, ill just have to take it easy on the TC.

Yep its like using a old oil filter when you change the oil.IMO

Actually it is more like dumping the old oil from the filter back into the crankcase.

You only need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

Get a rebuilt stocker then, they can be had for $300..

I wouldnt do a trans without replacing and upgrading a TC.

Is it worth gambling with the new tranny? [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif[/img] Bad news rebuilding the tranny and using old converter.
