Tranny

How much torque can a stock tranny hold. I havent upgraded my signature yet but I do have gauges. I loaded the 100 h.p. program yesterday from my 60 h.p. to see if I can get more mpg. Just out of couriosity I dropped the hammer from a 5 mph roll and my tires broke lose through 1st. gear and then I let out of it. My tranny gauge driving threw town and then getting after it never got above 155 degrees. I rarely stomp on it and never pull anything over 4000 pounds. My tranny was gone through with a new torque converter before I bought it 4000 miles ago and just don't want to break it.

The stock tranny can usually hold up pretty good if you do a couple things. 1) A strong Torque Convertor (u said it was changed but is it a strong one?) 2)a shift kit. 3) keep temps under 200F

Do those things and your tranny "should" hopefully hold up as long as you don't put BIG power to it like with big injectors and such. If you constantly "drive it like you stole it", then all bets are off.

Re: Tranny

The tq is a new factory one. I see in your sig you have one out of the new 6.0. Is there any links or literature on this mod?

I recommend you use the search function for the info. Also, John Wood Automotive is probably the top expert on the use of the 5R110 TC. His website for his contact info is www.jwtt.com . He will spend the time to talk to you and discuss whatever you need to know about your tranny.
