Exclamation Turbo problem or normal sound?

OK, So after some research I decided to upgrade my air intake system. I decided to go with the S&B system. Was easy to install and seems to work well. Feels like i have more power and unless I'm towing my 5th wheel everything is peachy.

Yesterday, (my first time towing anything since the new filter system) I started hearing some funky sounds from what I'm pretty sure is my turbo. It only does it when the engine is straining a little in the highest gear right before it needs to down shift. It's a really loud kind of squawk. It quits if i let up on the gas pedal or if it shifts. It sounds almost as if the turbo is shimmying (I've never spelled that word before So my question is whether or not I'm just hearing the turbo sucking more air or do I need to get my turbo checked out? I can hear the sucking at other times and the truck doesn't react like anything is wrong with the turbo. The sound is loud and does not sound good. The only thing that has
changed is the air intake system. Did I screw somthing up or what??

PS I'm very novice at working on my truck. I usually just pay to have someone work on it but decided to give this a try. I thought it was pretty easy but now....

Any suggestions on what to do next??

Thanks

ICTBU

I don't think you messed anything up wih your intake install. it is what alot of people refer to as turbo surge. With the intake, you can now hear it more clearly. Some guys have installed Wicked Wheels or modified turbos to help with the surge.

I've got the same sound from a DIY Tymar. Sounds like a weird screech? along with the whoosh. Does it when upshifting. Many here on TDS use/recomend the wicked wheel or ATS turbo shroud.
