Turbo Surge

What does turbo surge sound like?

AFE Stage II intake and MBRP turbo back 4" exhaust.
DP tuner w/60T, 80 Econo, and 120 Race.ISSPRO Boost, Pyro, and Trans. Temp

Looking at adding a Garrett BB turbo and intercooler as well as upgrading my injectors to Stage II's.

Rapid bursts of air. Usually followed by jumpy boost gauge (tho mine didn't when surging) and lack of power. Feels to me like the truck doesn't wanna go any faster until it changes gears.

It's NOT the whoosh that comes out as the trans shifts or you let off the pedal. That's stall.

Basically, if you feel like your power is limited when that rapid sound comes in, it's surge.
