Buy a Hyundai, no need, invest in a "BTS SuperTranny", and have it all! Now, if Ford could build a Truck, like Brian builds a tranny

I'm sure they could. Problem is that few people will want to buy it. They are already having enough trouble with each vehicle they build costing more than what the Japs can build it for so adding these "frills" is out of the question.

Sad, but true. Just think, a Super Duty built as good or better than A Kenworth, or Peterbilt.

That sure is a lot of miles. I wish I had an excuse to drive more often and rack up some more miles. I barely drive my truck now. Little work with the economy in its current state.

How so? Please elaborate. The way I see it, unless there is a superior product for the price, they are about the same. BTS has the edge on warranty. Now if you want to compare the best that BTS offers with the best that JW offers, BTS will have the game. The best that BTS has is $4100. What is the best that JW has going to cost me? How much again for their Stage 3?

Attaboy Dezl, share with us those wonderful advantages. Maybe, it would be a trip to sunny California, is that not like a trip to another country, no passport needed, so far. Maybe the timing of the trip could include a nice earthquake, mud slide, or a raging wild fire.

Nah! If I get a trans from JW, I sure wouldn't want to go to CA. Way too many whackos. IIRC, they were a large part of why we went to ULSD.

Well, this newbie, must be related to Pappy. maybe, just got off the boat, or is a good pot stirer. Time will tell. Ok, Dezl, take him to school. BTS Bubbas, will try to help him with his lack of education in the best trannys. Sure hope he is not in love ATS too.

ATS Warranty is a joke. Pay aftermarket prices and get OEM parts. Which Sunco? Got a link? As to Gearvendors, I thought they make an overdrive unit or do they make a transmission as well?

The biggest obstacle being the $70+ /hr (all in) the union workers get for highschool education. That's why the big 3 are going down. Honda & Toyota pay half that. Look at the Chevy Volt.... waste of a marketing exersize. They're only taking so long because the gov't gave them money for the project, meanwhile they already had the technology from the EV1 which they scrapped in favour of the H2 Hummer. What a joke. Letting them survive in the marketplace is like rewarding liars and cheaters.

I just got an 09' VW Jetta 2.0 TDI....WOW is all I can say... 60mpg on the hwy, 130mph on the top end, great acceleration, quiet, zero exhaust smoke, comfortable.... why can't the big 3 make an equivalent?? Ford's DPF takes away 4-5mpg.... VW can do it with zero loss, is Ford just stupid or what?

I've been asking Ford the last 10yrs for a 1/2ton turbodiesel..... they got the technology in Europe. Why do they get it and we don't?

Few years ago drove a Vauxhaul Vectra 1.9L TDI sedan in England.... exactly same as the Chevy Malibu here.... 130mph, great fuel economy, quiet, quick, etc. But here all they got is a lousy 4 banger or V6 gas guzzler. I don't get it??

Overpaid unions, bad design, arrogantly dumb CEOs.

Snooze you lose man.
