Limp or tow it there and it will be free. AFAIK, they charge for shipping at their commercial rate after 2 yrs.

I believe he told me the 3m output shaft was around $1,000 alone. That drives up the overall cost quite a bit, but will help decrease the chances of breaking a transmission behind a 600+ HP truck.
But if I bought a $4100 BTS, I can mate it to a 700HP truck or a 250HP truck. My choice. If you mated your Stage 1 to a 700HP truck, what do you think will happen when it breaks?

The internet has the answer. Stage 1 is $4200 and Stage 3 is $7400. I would say that BTS is a LOT less than JW's equivalent. BTS builds a trans for all power levels not just "up to". So, if you want to compare apples to apples, compare JW's Stage 3 ($7400) to BTS ($4100). Your best to his best.

Read the warranty. Use a non approved program or non-stock program and you have no warranty.

Stay away from ATS!!! Warranty issues are huge!!!

Just for clarification the shafts are 300M not 3M (It's the material)

I liked my JW but wouldn't discourage anyone that was closer geographically to use BTS.

P.S. My JW is now in a race truck that will be seeing 1100+HP soon and JW is standing behind it.

Hey dude If you do not like BTS, go to some other site, you are not going to change this site and what people have gotten at BTS for years before JW ever thought about A 4r100 TRANNY.

Wow guy, lighten up. People are allowed to express their opinions.

FYI JW has been in the hard core trans building arena for quite a while. He does a bunch of CORR / Trophy trucks as well.

Brian is a great guy! He builds a great product ALSO!

Thanks for the correction. For some reason, I seemed to remember John saying 3m while I was there. 300m makes more sense.

Does your race truck have a 7.3 or another diesel?

not once have i badmouthed brian or bts trans, but how ignorant would i be to say jw is the best Hands down..end of story...no if ands or buts. i saved a lot of money going the route i did, and am satisfied that i wont' see a problem in the future with my trans. And i guran effing tee you in five years , he'll hook me up if something goes wrong. I drive the piss out of my truck, and i bet you i'll never ever see a broken input shaft.

aklim - you are completely clueless as to the difference between a built-to-the-hilt JW trans vs a standard BTS. I promise you my truck would scatter the standard $4100 BTS trans all over the road. Brian does not build his trans just one way, nor does John. Those are the simple facts.

Don't sound like you running much HP in your truck, so I guess JW tranny would be fine for you, and no I am not running much HP in mine, I know Brians son Cale has a 1997 and is running more HP than me and you put togather and has a whole front lobby full of trophy's that he won at the local drag strip. JW may build a great tranny, but all I am saying is Brian will stand behind his better than JW will any day under any load or what ever you do to it. And no I am not ignorant to say Brian is the best hands downI just know that he stands behind his rebuild no matter how much HP you put to his tranny and to me that sets him above the rest.
