John Wood.............Awesome Shop & Builder. Patient & full of information & advise anytime you want to call. His Proving Grounds are the Dunes of Glamis, California. He has a Dyno & is capable of "Live Tuning" as well.

Here's my story.......AGAIN!!! John Wood did a custom build for how I drive my truck........Hot & Heavy. You MUST be honest with yourself & the builder (John Wood, in my case) AND this is my 3rd Transmission. I run my Bully Dog at the 120Hp setting ALWAYS, and I tow a 13,000 lb Toy Box up and down the West Coast and into Oregon........AT 70 MPH+ with 37" BFG KM2's. She's makin' over 26psi of boost, and I screw with Corvettes just for fun (4.30:1 Gears & a little peddal ROASTS 37's). Blows their minds when a lifted crew cab F250 gets the jump and barks 2nd in the process. I know "Toot toot". My point is, John built the trans to work with my Bully Dog, and added a few extra's including IH Machined & Bellowed Up-Pipe Kit. I don't always drive like an A$$ H@L&, but I want to get to my destination ASAP. The truck runs flawlessly. Thank you "John Wood"!!!!!! jwtt.com Check it out!!!

O.K. Since you asked, one more story........Anyone heard of "Pismo Beach Dunes" In California. Yanked my 13,000 Toyhauler to the "TOP" of the Coastal Dunes. Best view & I wanted too, that's why. Then to top it off, I went around towing poor Chevy's out of the sand. Best brag.....Pulled a Chevy 2500 Diesel with a 40' Weekend Warrior, up the North Dune. Dude was augered in up to the frame for an hour. It was getting dark and no one would help this poor soul. I'm just braggin' cause it's a "FORD" site. Being an Off-Duty Fireman, I was just humbly helping unfortunate people. I hate seeing guys struggle, and their wives & kids crying.......NOT COOL.....I helped because I CAN. O.K. I'm Done

Amazing how people go from advise, to slamming competitors....So, my challenge would be...."Lets go Stern to Stern" and see who still drives home. That would be the only fair way to sort this "Web Debate". I'll put up my "Arnold Republic", "Medical Smokes", "John Wood" built MONSTER, Stern-up to ANY Competitor's Trans. My bigger wager is that NO ONE would accept that challenge. Too bad we all can't have this conversation in a nice little tavern somewhere.....'Cause then you'd have to look Eye to Eye, or maybe look "Up". Funny how conversations are different in "PERSON". Someone might actually call B.S. on a brutha truka!!!

P.S. But at LEAST we all LOVE our trucks. So, we have that in common!!!

I think, I struck a nerve. You guys in Cali are reminding me of nancy pelosi. The one thing we have is common is our trucks, and promoting the two excellent ford shops. The kidding gets pretty rough sometimes, but has been a lot of fun. Here is a thought, if A JW guy had a serious problem with their truck, and were within a reasonable distance of BTS, they would probably go there, the same as a BTS bubba would go to JW. I know that would be my decision. I have been to Cali several times, and would go to JW, if I needed help. No one has ever thought of this situation.
Putting the bs about Cali aside, the scary thing is, however Cali goes, so may the rest of the
country, a scary thought.

To the First..........Agreed!!!! JW & BTS shall be the Tranny Gods Together.

To the second.........Vettes aren't great "Drag Cars" to begin with. My 1990 Fox Mustang will out-launch most Corvettes. Vettes are Great on the "Road Course". That said, 4.30:1 Gears, 26+ psi Boost, Bully Dog @ 120 Hp setting "ALWAYS", Great Trans set-up, and a few other odds & ends. Good for 1-2 and a bark.....Then the Vette passes. They'd beat me in the 1/4 mi., but most Vette owners can't stand losing a "Hole Shot". I do lean on the boost before STOMPING the throttle. Been known to race a bit, back in the day. Now I'm into the NASA and SCCA Road Course stuff with my Mustang.

I take it you're not a Bully Dog fan.............Seems to be workin' pretty damn good on my rig!!!! Guess my advise would be, "Don't put one on YOUR truck!!!". Maybe it is time to update, but I'm kinda an Old Dog, and a Big Dog. I'll probably run down to JW for some "REAL TUNES" one of these days, or were you talkin' Country Music Tunes. Got lots of Trace Adkins and Toby Keith Crankin' the Crew Cab. Maybe that's what scares the vette drivers. Maybe I'll just stick to "Eatin' Vettes" in my 1990 Mustang LX 5.0...You know "Old School". The tires are cheaper!!!

P.S. Hey, check my post above...........I think I wrote I "Screw With" 'Vettes. Not so much race 'vettes. I Ain't THAT good!!!
