Whose gone from muffler delete to full 4 turbo back system?

Right now I am running my truck with no muffler. Ive got a dual 4 inch kit that I may buy it is missing the downpipe so I will be using the factory downpipe and connecting the kit to the stock exhaust thats still on there. My question is will I notice a big difference if I buy a 4" downpipe, I would like to have a full 4 inch exhaust but if it isnt necessary I dont want to spend the money on it. Have any of you gone from a muffler delete with stock exhaust to a full 4 inch system with 4" DOWNPIPE? What are the differences sound, power, lower egt's etc?

Just like any system it will only flow as much as the greatest restriction. I.E. your 4 inch exhaust is really only a 2 1/2 since you use the crimped stock downpipe. Just my advice = go with a 3 1/2 -4 inch downpipe. You will notice a small difference if the only performance part is the exhaust. Everything is a variable and you will notice more power, lower egts, etc. the more you get your system flowing optimally.

The biggest difference I noticed was seemingly faster spool. That and you'll be able to tell its flowing better just from the sound, it doesnt sound all congested.

I went from the stock system straight piped to a 4" turbo back system. Sound is quite a bit different. Cant describe really. I like both. Performance diff? Negligable with the SOTP dyno. Spool may be a BIT Slower with the 4" DP. But not enough to worry about. Main difference/advantage is lower EGT's with the 4" DP and exhaust.
