02 bumper brackets not fitting 05

I have read numerous threads about how during on 05-07 conversion that I would not need new bumper brackets. Everyone says that the ones from my 02 will bolt to the 05 bumper just fine. There is no way my 02 brackets are going to bolt up to this 05 bumper. Doe anyone know if I go buy 05 bumper brackets will they line up correctly on my 02 truck. Appreciate any responses as my truck is in pieces at the moment
