05 rims on a 02 - Diesel Forum

ive got a 02 ex.. know that this is not the ex forum.. but not getting any response so i thought that i might try here.. i mean all in all a f250 or f350 are the same as my ex when it comes to this subject. im wanting to buy a set of 05 17" rims and tires to put on my ex.. ive heard they would fit and that they wouldnt fit.. if any one could help me out with a answer here other than me having to just try to put them on and see if they fit i would appreciate it.. thanks

05 X is the same as 04 F and X back. The 05 X did not upgrade anything but the front facsia. Chassis and springs are the same as earlier F And X. 05 F series will not work on earlier F or X or 05 X without some very expensive spacers. The 05 up F changed to a different frt suspension with coils not leaf springs. Do a search and read for days.

im sorry i guess i failed to mention that the rims and tires are off of a 05 f250 and im wonting to put them on my 02 excursion..

Wheels will sit in the fender farther and may hit your springs when turning.
