08+ rear diff. cover ?

Was wondering if anyone knew the correct size (thread/length) hardware for doing this install?

Thanks!

For the 20 some odd people who looked at the post, and didn't respond.

5/16-18 @ 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" Long. If you are going to use hex heads, use washers...

I have the '08 SRW alloy diff cover installed on my '99.5. Looks good. I ordered it from
Diesel Performance at DieselManor, Inc. - Taking the Mystery out of Diesel Performance™
and the pkg included the bolts and washers required. It's thicker than the sheet metal stock cover so you must use longer bolts. And my bolts were allen heads, but they came with washers too.

It's cheaper for just the diff cover at
Your Premiere Source for Ford Truck Parts and Accessories
but doesn't include the 12 bolts and washers. And those bolts and washers are expensive stainless jobbies.

Yes I am puttung the cover on my 02' I just got the cover from my ford guy for $53 And got stainless lock washers and black anodized allen head bolts from Lowes for about $10.

It makes me laugh that for only put these on the diesels. Why not just pu them on all the newer 08+ Super Dutys? I mean I've seen Toyota Tacoma's stock with finned/aluminum covers.

Anyway I thought it would be a good addition since I will be plowing this year, and a good piece of mind when I tow.

I wonder if you got the same socket-head bolts that I got. They've been on for about a year now, and are all rusted and ugly-looking. The only stainless socket-head screws I've been able to find at Lowes/HD are 1 1/2" long. Does anybody out there know if those would be too long to snug down without bottoming out or using more than one washer?
Thanks,
RD
