Yea I agree with you on the 08-10 front ends. Ford sure did good with the 11-12 front ends.

I do have a question on the firewall. Being that ford changed the A/C system, thru my research I did notice a pretty big change the way it mounts to the firewall. So you took an 08 firewall cut out the 2000 and sectioned in the 08 firewall? Would you have any pics of that? I really like to have a good game plan before I pull my dash out.

Thanks again,
Dave

Yep that is the right way to do it for sure. My plans were to fill the voids with some sheet metal and paint it to match. But I am not apposed to doing the right way as well. I'm going to have to hit the salvage yards and find a donor firewall.

Yea Jerry, it sure would be nice if you have some pictures for reference purposes. I think I mentioned it earlier, but if not I say again. I purchased the original Ford Service manuals for both the 2002 and the 2010 so the wiring shouldn't be too much of a headache. I guess I need to get on the ball and head out to the salvage yards this week and get the few items I'm going to need to get started. I'm looking forward to the transformation as the new interiors are so much nicer and updated in appearance.

Any more progress on the interior swap? I have a complete 08 interior with all the harnesses and cluster. I am curious how the abs and airbag system is run. I know you need to use the 08 pcm to control the guages. What else does the 08 pcm control? I would eventually like to swap in a 6.4 as well but not quite yet. I would like to be able to install the tow command system as well as the newer climate control as well. It is all going into an 02.
