Just a quick question for those of us that arn't too sharp.
Will the 08 and up tow mirrors work on an 05 non powered paddle style. I have 2 XL no power trucks and would to replace the paddle with tow. I'm ok with non powered mirrors. I assume the 08 tow mirror came on an XL with out the power option.
Thanks

You'll have no problem with them on an XL, you'll just spend more time wiring it up. You'll need to run 3 wires to the door , ignition on sourse to the door for heat and pwr adjust, running/marker lights, and another for tapping in to the turn signals. And you can ground out to the door. You can get the '08 XL mirrors that are manual w/o heat and adjust. I think they look pretty good especially if you're going for the monochromatic look, and they are fairly less expencive. I thought about going with them but I really wanted the heat option and I picked my mirrors up for quite the deal. Let me know if you need more details.
Hey Ken what is the Part numbers for these with chrome caps on the top portion of the mirrors, or do they not come that way on the new ones for 08,09,10? Thanks for your help.
I know you can buy chrome caps but rather have factory.... I want to orders some soon.
Thanks,Dave
