16" wheels on 05+?

Has anyone tried 16" wheels on the larger brakes found on the 05+ models?

Sure would be nice if it was just a little grinding on the caliper, or it can be solved with proper backspacing on the wheel.

Any ideas?

No, 16" rims won't fit on an '05-up PSD. A 16" rim is not big enough to clear the caliper.

Yeah, that's the popular opinion.

I'm trying to see if anybody has tried to make 16's work... much like 15" wheels could be put on older 3/4 or 1ton Ford and Chevs when some caliper grinding and/or less backspacing on the wheels.

The reason is I have an '07 rear end that I'd like to steal the disc brake setup from (probably re-drill the rotor). Might have to figure this out the hard way though.
