2.5" Leveling Kit..........Watch Out!

Be careful when removing the draglink mount bolts, the ones that hold the stock mount to the frame rail. Apparently they are locktited from the factory. I wasn't comfortable with putting a torch to them to break the bond, so I tried to EASE them out. One came out and one spun the nut on the nut plate, so now it's grind the bolt head off and remove the old nut plate which is located inside the framerail. Dealer replacement nut plate, $28. I guess that's cheaper than setting the whole rig on fire.

Re: 2.5" Leveling Kit..........Watch Out!

I probably should have removed the drag link to make lining up the axle easier...but I wrestled with it for a while and it worked. Hindisight is always 50/50 I guess

Re: 2.5" Leveling Kit..........Watch Out!

Guess I got lucky. The instructions said not to use air tools on those bolts. I used a hand ratchet, they were stiff but came apart well.
