2008 Fender Vents

Well I decided to add the 2008 fender vents to my truck. Here's a picture of how it turned out.

Looks nice. Are they functional or just good looking?

Very nice!

Did you have to cut the fender?

Wow that looks great, I would love to do this to my truck, do you have any pics and more details on how you mounted them? Would be very much appreciated :-)

Yes, the fender needed to be cut.

Thanks! I had a body shop do the installation. They took the measurements of an 08 fender so they could make the cut on the fender and match the holes for the vents. Unfortunately, I do not have any pictures of when they were doing the installation.

shouldnt be hard to do, put some finger paint on the tabs, press on the fender where you like it, and then cuto out the painted marks. Seal the cuts with tough up paint. That is how I did it on my 64 1/2 mustang when replacing sheet metal.

What do these vents look like on the backside? I have wanted to get some of these, but am not willing to cut my fenders to do so. Can they be shaved flush on the back and 3M taped in place or is there not enough surface area to work with?
