2008 tailgate conversion for 2002 superduty

This has probably already discussed but.... I have a 02' superduty that I would like to put a 08' tailgate on. I found a new take off tailgate locally for 450.00. I know the drivers side hinge has to be replaced, but is there anything else that has to be changed. Are there plastic bushings that are on each hinge that need to be changed? Part numbers and installation tips would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 2008 tailgate conversion for 2002 superduty

I only had to change the drivers side hinge and adjust the latch points to make it close flush. Pretty easy swap. See my pics below.

Was it a bolt on or is there a wiring issue?

Just curious what lights you have seen on a tailgate? Ford hasn't run wires into the tailgate for as long as I can remember. No wiring issues at all.
