35" on stock 20"

I have a 2006 F250 CC with the factory 20" Wheels and I'm ready for some new tires. I think I'm going to go with either the Toyo Open Country MT 35x12.50r20 or the Nitto A/T Terra Grappler LT325/60r20.

My question is will they rub when I turn to full lock with on the stock wheel? I know the factory 20's are about 34", but they are alot narrower.

I put 31" on my daughters wrangler (has 2" lift that they say is good for 32's) but they rub when you turn to full lock. Was told that the stock wheels do not have the correct offset, so was wondering if I will run into the same problem on my Ford? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks for the great site!!

Re: 35" on stock 20"

I had some Toyo M/T 35"s on some aftermarket 20x8.5 wheels on my 04. They did NOT rub on the front bumper, but would just barely touch the leaf sprigs at full lock. Not enough to worry about IMO.

I would personally go with the Toyo M/T's over the Nitto's simply from a "looks" perspective.

Re: 35" on stock 20"

325/60R20 will fit but the tire is a bit wide for the rim. 325's have a min rim width of 9" and the factory 20's are 8" wide. However, 35X12.50R20 will fit both the truck and the factory wheel with no problems.
I run 35X12.50R18 on my factory 18" wheels and they just touch the leaf springs at full lock. But you having a '06 do not have that to worry about. There are plenty of '05 up guys running 35" tires with no rubbing at all.

Re: 35" on stock 20"

I have a 2 inch leveling kit on my F350 and I just put 35/13.50/20 on the ford factory 20's with no rubbing at all. Actually they look awesome and just right I have the ProComp Xtreme AT's and they just look killer. If you want I can post some pics.
