There use to be a post and some pictures about a white F250/F350 in Iceland that used a body lift.

Re: anyone ever put 3" bodylift on 2000 f350 diesel?

i always heard it was dangerous to do a body lift on superduties due to the weight issues. other than that, i geuss you could do it pretty easily, if you have all the equipment.

Re: anyone ever put 3" bodylift on 2000 f350 diesel?

It has been done, but not nearly as easy as a gasser....
Think about it, you ever done a body lift? The Radiator stays put, so the CAC will stay put, along with the ac condensor. Ect.. You would have to take some action with the intercooler plumbing. So, if you think you can fix all that, then it really is not a big deal.
You also have to cut the bottom out of radiator shroud..

Re: anyone ever put 3" bodylift on 2000 f350 diesel?

Don't do it! Your truck will never be the same. My buddy had a 3" on his '01 (With an 8" suspension and hangers) and later had it removed due to the crappy ride characteristics and just overall saftey concerns. He ran with 44's. Are you looking to run 39's or something?

Re: anyone ever put 3" bodylift on 2000 f350 diesel?

I also wouldnt want to do it, but not because of the ride characteristics, If your lifting a truck that high, you KNOW it wont ride great, and could "roll easier" The MAIN reason I wouldnt do it, is because of the CAC, and cutting the radiatior shroud. I had a body lift on my 90 Chevy extra cab, with an 8' bed. 6" Explorer Pro Comp lift along with it. Drove and rode fine,

Re: anyone ever put 3" bodylift on 2000 f350 diesel?

I had a 3" body lift on my 02 crew cab. I never had a single problem. The only way a body lift will change the "ride" is if you install polyurethane cab bushings when you install the body lift, they are harder than the oe rubber cab bushings. Some people say body lifts are cheap and dumb, thats their opinion. It's your truck, use the kit for a V10, it will be safe, just use your head when putting really heavy things in the bed, a quad, fine, a full bed of gravel or dirt, probably not fine. I agree with you that those last 3" can cost a bundle with x-over steering, driveshafts, etc. Body lift is way cheaper, just make sure you get lift lips to hide the gap. BTW, I put the body lift on my old 02 because I tow a large toyhauler, wanted 40"s, and did not want a super long drop hitch. With a body lift your hitch will not be raised, I had a 6" drop, perfect. When you raise your rear bumper, only go up 1.5", it will fit the body of the truck o.k., and your reciever won't look like it's in no mans land. Hope this helps!

Just think of the turbo you could put under the cowling with an extra 3".

Snyder, where were you when asked this question a while back? Everyone said no way. I was thinking of just 1-2 inches. Does anyone make a body lift kit that small? Will it mess up a 5th wheel hitch setup?
