Re: Best brand NERF BARS / Tube steps

I like my NFab. The go right up next to the body to hide the frame and have steps that extend out, plus they have an extra step for the bed.

Re: Best brand NERF BARS / Tube steps

I have Westin bars on mine. They attach to the body using holes already in the body. NO drilling required...

Re: Best brand NERF BARS / Tube steps

I have the Westin S.S. and they still look good but the plastic step plates have bent and broken the little tabs that hold them in place. They bolt up easily. If I were doing it again I would get the N-Fabs. They are readily available from Cabela's of all places.

Re: Best brand NERF BARS / Tube steps

Here is a picture of my truck with N-Fab bars. Really like the 3rd step for the bed. Don't hang down to bad. Up tight to the body.

I like the look of the NFab 6-step bars, but since you use to have the Ford stock "chrome" bars, why didn't you get the NFab's in chrome? Do they even come that way? Chrome bars and chrome door handles (or covers) would really take your truck up another notch (IMO!). At any rate your truck has a very nice and clean look!

Re: Best brand NERF BARS / Tube steps

Hey thanks! I just love this truck. As for the nerf bars, I like 'em unobtrusive and minimalist. Satisfies my delicate aesthetic sensibilities!

Re: Best brand NERF BARS / Tube steps

I went with the Westin CPS series in black. I chose
them because they were powder coated stainless and
they bold up to the factory holes. As stated above
by haul_n_horses2, the plastic step plates could be
better. The one at my drivers door keeps coming up.
But, the haven't come off yet. Overall I'm pretty
happy with them.
