The Best Remote Start System

Looking for a good remote start system and wondering what you all are using and what you think?
I already have keyless entry and want something that is reliable and simple to install. I hate wiring up a bunch of relays.
I'm thinking about the ford silver or gold system off of Ebay.
What do ya think?

Re: The Best Remote Start System

Depends if you want plain jane or other features. I purchased the compustar becuase it had 2 way functionality with an lcd screen that gives me a visual indication of starting and if there are issues. It also has the turbo timer built in as well...I did not install it myself though so I cannot speak to the ease of install

Ford Gold system of E-Bay here. $135 and a few hours install. I wanted cheap, dependable, and easy install and it was that. Most E-Bay kits don't come with install or programming instructions but they can be downloaded at www.gemsen.com/ford

Re: The Best Remote Start System

the ford super duty is the easiest vehicle to install a remote starter on, find a local shop, not best buy or an audio store, there are some around that will install a 2 way for less than $400, reputable brands include astro start, ultra start, viper, compu star...the list goes on. personally i have had good luck with the ultra start and astro start brands, have not worked with the others at all.
