I'll have to think about that one. I'm not sure if that's a plus or a minus.

I put Centramatics on the rear of my dually about 225,000 miles ago and have no problems getting to the valve stem on the inner wheel. Sure ya got the holes lined up right?
And yes, they are worth the money spent.

That article is what prompted the start of this thread. Their product reviews generally seem fair and unbiased; I just wanted to hear from a variety of guys who had been using them.

Don't know what the mag article says but I have been using for a while. Got 120,000 miles out of my last set of Bridge Dueller Revo's towing heavy. They had more available life but changed due to upcoming DOT blitz to be on the safe side.
I believe the Centramatic's helped on tire life and I know they improve the balance rolling.

you might need to get the stems changed to shorter or longer ones. The idiot tire shop that I had to use on the road put a passenger car valve stem in my excursion wheel. that lasted about 3 months before it failed.
I would get longer or shorter stems installed.

I had a vibration in my 4X4 front axle at 70 MPH before I installed the Centramatic wheel balancers and still had it after installation. They didn't help at all. Must be an axle problem that the wheel balancers can't help. Anyone have any ideas?

like most people here, I put the centramatics on my Excursion along with some new tires. I've had 2 sets of BFG ATs. The first set went 55K. The second set I'm on are at 60K. On my last rotate-and-balance they took a little bit of weight to balance out, but other than that, that's 115K of driving without needing weights on my rim for tire balance -- I'm a believer in their product!
