converting an '03 F250 to F350???

hey guys,

I want to take my 2003 F250 supercab shortbox 4x4 and basically make it into and F350 in regards to suspension, and then level it out in the front. What all do i need to do????

from what i understand so far, an icon 2.5" lift in front and swap out for 4" blocks in the rear will work???
do i need a different shim/carrier bearing mount or not b/c its a short wheelbase???
do i need front track bar bracket???
any more alignment corrections????
will stock shocks work????
do i need a pitman arm????
im pretty sure i need the adjustable tracking bar though......

thanks for any suggestions!

do i need front track bar bracket??? No one makes one for a 2" lift
any more alignment corrections???? Recenter the steering wheel
will stock shocks work???? Yes but its a good time to replace the stockers
do i need a pitman arm???? No
im pretty sure i need the adjustable tracking bar though......Yes

thanks for any suggestions!
Do you have rear overloads..are you trying to increase the weight capacity?

If you have the camper package (overload leaf in the rear spring pack) the only difference between the 250 and 350 is that the 350 has a 4" lift block in the rear and the 250 has a 2" lift block. That plus the badges and door frame sticker. Some ascribe mystical powers to the badges and stickers and will claim that no amount of upgrading will allow your 250 to haul the same load as a 350 SRW safely. Such can safely be ignored.

There are differences, other than springs. Hubs, brakes ect... LOOKS, side by side the block looks like the only difference. I am sure Smokey will chime in shortly and complete the explanation. (Let me put it this way, if you didn't care, you could just haul what you want, with your 250. The law won't care what springs you have, it will STILL be an F-250 as far as capacity is rated...

Oh, maybe i should have mentioned that I DO have the overload springs. I don't want the additional haul capacity, just the "look" of the F350.
My driveshaft is one piece, so i guess i don't have a carrier bearing, correct???
Caryt: the difference in front/back spacing i measured is 2"....and i don't want the "front in the air" look.......you think a 3 inch block in the rear would be better? I want to have some rake in the truck as a result, but only .5"-1" at the most

The Icon mini spring pack will give you 2.5", your rear blocks are anywhere from 2-2.5" SD f350 rear blocks also varies from 3.5-4"
Other option is a 3" front hanger kit. Soooo measure what blocks you have and then you wil have a better idea of the end result...
