Which Exhaust Brake?

I am thinking about adding a Pacbrake in-line brake, not the direct turbo mount. Anyone have any experience with these? Any suggestions on this or other exhaust brakes?

Thanks!

Re: Which Exhaust Brake?

I have the direct mount on my 99.5 and sold my 96 with one on it---they work excellent!!! My only knowledge about the inline exhaust brakes is from the one on the DT466 I drive at work. It takes a LLLLOOONNNGGGG time to build back pressure in the exhaust. It is probably six feet from the turbo and does not provide much engine braking. The direct mount works almost instantly and is very smooth and an easy installation. Plus, if you change your exhaust system to a big performance set up the inline will be a different size, the direct mount won't need to be touched other than unbolting the down pipe. Might even be easier to put a direct mount on a 2wd than having to lift it to work under it.
