Ford Remote Start (Silver)

Hey Fellas,

I did a quick search but no luck answering my questions....

I'm looking into a Ford Remote Start for my F-350 Lrt. It already has the fobs and equipment to allow keyless entry but no security that I know of. I'm not really interested in any other remote start system although I'm sure there are better ones out there.

I'm looking at the Remote Start Systems, Universal (Silver)Part# 1L3Z-19G364-BA. I've tried to locate an application chart to confirm it will work in my truck. Can anyone help?

Lastly, will I need a Remote Start Systems, Securilock Interface Kit Part# 1L2Z-19G365-AB?

As always, any information is greatly appreciated.

Re: Ford Remote Start (Silver)

The RKE/RMST (silver) system should come with all the parts you need including the Securlock interface if your truck has PATS.

I'm going through trouble-shooting the remost start on my Gold (RKE/VSS/RMST) system right now.

Re: Ford Remote Start (Silver)

The updates and full installation and programming guide are HERE. You may have to walk through it but the full guide will list all parts for each one as well as details about each application.

Re: Ford Remote Start (Silver)

You only need the secure lock kit if your truck has the pats keys. Most superduties do not have pats.

Re: Ford Remote Start (Silver)

Bill,

What does PATs do and will I need it for the Remote start to operate correctly?

Thanks.

Re: Ford Remote Start (Silver)

what does the head of your key look like??????is it real think and is there a small square on the top of the key where your key ring goes through????

if so, then you will need to by-pass the PATS system...its an transponder key so the truck can not be starter without the right key.....
