Forgive me, Im new. Whats a "Hutch" and "Harpoon" Mod?

Saw these two items mentioned in a post about adding tubing to your door seals, which by the way, is this recommended for an 01 Excursion too?

Re: Forgive me, Im new. Whats a "Hutch" and "Harpoon" Mod?

The "Hutch" mod is a fuel line related mod intended to get air out of the fuel lines that go from the tank to the engine. The idea is to quiet down the engine and probably extend the life of the injectors too. This mod was developed by "Hutch in Augusta" and was one of my first mods. It involves modifying the fuel intake in the tank and few other little things. Scrounge the parts yourself and it's pretty cheap to do.

The "Harpoon" mod is done when you do the Hutch mod. The only reason is because you already have your fuel tank removed. This mod cuts several inches off of the fill line that enters the tank. This gives more "room" for fuel to go into the tank and prevents the fuel filler from tripping off so soon. Some members caution that this mod may over fill your tank and, on a warm day, lead to fuel expansion and a possible spill. This hasn't happened to me since I did it in 2002. What it DOES do is make a fill up quick and painless.

The door seal mod on a '01 Ex? Beats me. But I'm looking to do it on my '02 CC.
