front end swap?

Has anyone swapped the 2001 front end for the 2005 how much did u spend and what problems did u encounter?

Its been done..I put a '08 in my '97 so putting one in a '01 will be easyer. You will need later wheels to go with the new axles.

I think he may be talking about the Front End as far as the bumper, grille, headlights, etc. Like an 05 conversion. But i'm not totally sure...

Yeah thats what i meant, guess i need to clafify.. i was looking to replace the grill,headlights,bumper

It's been done plenty of times, a clean swap requires replacing the bumper, lights, grill, and the panel behind them. I forget what it is called offhand but I remember it only costing a few hundred or so dollars. If you want to save money start looking around for a bumper for sale and get it re-painted, this will save you the most money, go to ford to buy the rest or look on craigslist, everything is bolt-on, although you will need a wiring plug adapter for the lights, since the plugs are different on the 05 compared to the 01.

I Have Did The Conversion Alot The Most Expensive Thing Is The Bumper. I Can Get U All New Parts If U Still Need Them. Lights,light Plug Adaptor.bumper,bumperpad,grille And Header Panel. I Have Pictures Of Truck I Did Last Week If Ud Like To See It.
