Gauge Question

I want to use "270 degree" gauges, like isspro. I can't find a diff temp. Can I use a tranny temp gauge instead?

Re: Gauge Question

Welcome to TDS.

I'd think any pryo would work as long as the temp scale is suitable. Just to be sure I'd call the manufacturer and pose the question as well as checking with some of TDS site sponsers, They sell a lot of guage packages to the guys and are pretty knowledgable.

Re: Gauge Question

snowbear,

We have been after Isspro to make a diff temp, all that is required is for them to re stencil the gauge face to say diff temp instead of trans oil temp etc. Yes you can use the trans gauge for a diff gauge no problem at all. Call us if you have any questions etc.

Re: Gauge Question

You can't use a pyrometer. Instead you can use a trans temp, like you mentioned, or an oil temp, which may make more sence. If you want an oil temp we have them avaiable in 140-320F and 100-280F. You'll have to call for the latter as their not on the site yet. We've got them all in stock looking for new homes. If you have any questions give us a shout.
