How are the arm rests removed from captains chairs?

I have a 2001 Superduty and need to remove the arm rests from the captains chairs to fit the center seat in. Thank you, Chris - dukecac@aol.com

Peel the cloth back from the end of the armrest that is closest to the seat. There will be a allen bolt holding the armrest to the seat, remove bolt. Armrest will now be removed, but you will need to remove or modify the stop for the armrest. Some say you can leave these on but be very careful when fliping your console back if you do, so they don't hit the top of the console.
