Thanks for the great info. I am in the process of gathering all of the '05 parts. I do have one question. My truck does not have oem fog lights but am going to add them during the '05 conversion. Do I need the '05 - '07 style fogs or do you use '99 - '04 fogs? I have a lead on a pair of '05s with bulbs and brackets real cheap and assume these are the ones I need. But you know what they say about assuming. Thanks.

You need the 05+ fog lamps. The lights are the same but the brackets are different.

Conversion looks great! Question about re-using old bumper brackets from my 2002 F350, or what new brackets I'll need to buy to complete the conversion....

These are all the brackets that I can find that are listed for 2005-7 (each one has 1 drivers / 1 passengers side):

1) Description: BUMPER BRACKET, FRONT, PASSENGER SIDE -- A High Quality, Direct Fit OE Replacement Bumper Bracket, Plate Side Rail

2)Description: BUMPER BRACKET, PASSENGER SIDE -- A High Quality, Direct Fit OE Replacement For Bumper Bracket

3)Description: BUMPER FILLER -- A high quality, direct fit OE replacement bumper filler.

4)Description:BUMPER BRACKET, FRONT, PASSENGER SIDE -- A High Quality, Direct Fit OE Replacement For Bumper Bracket, Outer Mounting

Do I need to buy all of the above brackets for the conversion or can I reuse some of the existing brackets from my truck today? If so, do you know which ones? (Let me know if I'm missing any too)....

Thanks in advance... just need to grab the upper valence, chrome bumper and whatever brackets I'll need... have lights, harnesses and grill!

Will the '05 bumper bolt directly to 2000 without changing out grill and header panel? Or will I need new brackets?

You might try your local craigslist. www.craigslist.com That is where I got mine from and I got it for $75 in descent used condition. It took me awhile to find one but it saved alot of money compared to factory. There are also some on ebay that are pre cut to fit a 99-04 factory bumper. Hope that helps

I have a 2000 F450 7.3 PSD and I would like to upgrade my towing mirrors with an 03-07 power signal mirrors. Is this doable without major modifications and if I can what is required? I'm assuming new wire harness is required. Appreciate any information.

Thanks in Advance,
Lou

Yes it is, (You would have a better response with your OWN post though)
The new mirrors will BOLT right on. You'll need to do the wiring though. Nothing difficult really. (Plugs are not the same I doubt. (Yours are probably round, new ones are more rectangular. If yours are not round, they will be the same, you'll just need to add the wires for lights and heat. (Power will already be there) (I don't know what year they went from round to more square/rectangular, but it was before 03 I know for sure... my 03 didn't need changing.

Great write-up and thanks for the pics! I have purchased a used grille already and plan on doing this to my 01 Excursion in the near future.

Fairweatherfordfan, i was wondering if the grille you ordered off of eBay seemed to be good quality, If the chrome looks good or has started to peel or anything, I was wanting to do the same conversion but I just wasnt sure about the headlights and grille from ebay.
